whoops

when i picked up michael from head start today, i locked myself out of the van...

i have a spare, but it was in the car.

thankfully, the insurance was able to call someone to come and open it for me.

i'm getting a key holder to hide under the car so it doesn't happen again.

inspection

the idaho housing inspection was today.
sadly, the house failed, big surprise there...

because the downstairs shower leaks, it's non-functional.
now we wait to see what the landlord plans to do.

fun

today, i decided since the kids were home, we were going to go play.
i took them to see moana!

household woes

the dryer stopped working.
once again, it's the heating element.
    that i replaced 4 years ago....

considering that i've done a lot of laundry in those 4 years, i shouldn't complain too much.

they have released me from the library. in a way it's a relief, but at the same time, now i have to socialize...

tryouts

elizabeth came home from school the other day with papers with information about the middle school's new play they were going to be doing.
a musical, jungle book.

she shocked me by wanting to try out for one of the minor parts, the baby elephant.
she tried out, but didn't get the part. she did make it into the elephant herd.

the next two months will be filled with play practice.

elizabeth decided that she wanted to do violin for her elective this year.

i was finally able to get lessons arranged for her. 

she's a year behind everyone else, because she wasn't doing violin last year. it's been causing a few problems in class and during the concert.
